Even many of my friends and fellow musicians have shared what the album has meant to them over the years. That’s incredibly humbling, and it’s an honor I’ll never take for granted."
Careless served as a gateway to Bishop's successful solo career, which includes the 1982 top 30 hit "It Might Be You" and the Oscar-nominated song "Separate Lives." However, Bishop's recent album, THIMK, released last August, marked what he described as his final musical endeavor.
